Below you will find all the info about the workshop<\/p><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><h4><b>Why this new workshop series?\u00a0<\/b><\/h4><div><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; white-space: pre-wrap;\">It is particularly important, yet challenging, for UCSD\u2019s Early Career Astronomers (ECAs) to connect and learn how to navigate the academic system in permanent evolution (e.g., responding to pandemic, climate change and diversity crises). Securing the next job, building a mentoring network, finding support at work while ultimately developing a sustainable behavior is important, yet challenging, particularly for underrepresented minorities in astronomy. This UCSD workshop series will consist of multiple practical and interactive discussion sessions and<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; white-space: pre-wrap;\">has <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; white-space: pre-wrap;\">the aim to provide (1) practical resources, tools and (soft) skills that are important for UCSD\u2019s ECAs and their supporters (2) build a (peer) support network and, (3) discuss common challenges such as imposter syndrome, work\/life balance and feeling overwhelmed<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; white-space: pre-wrap;\">.
